Stonegate Pub Company, a leading hospitality and pub group with over 620 pubs and bars across the UK in a variety of formats, wanted to re-position itself as a family-friendly chain against massive competition and to maximise its value meal deal sales. Severn created a standout ‘Feed the Family for £10’ campaign, using simple, value messaging and deliberately quirky styling on outdoor media – with characters that wouldn’t look out of place on TV or games console – to harness ‘pester power’. Severn’s strategy worked and this campaign – loved by children – goes down as one of the chain’s most successful kids market promotions.
